Sugar Info

Sugar beets used to be grown in Manitoba but there don't seem to be any commercial growers anymore.
American Crystal is located in North Dakota and produces sugar but because they have factories in five different places in North Dakota, it would be difficult to maintain 100 miles.
Also, Anna W found that they cannot or do not ship to Canada. You may be able to visit North Dakota and bring some back but I would check before you cross the border.

I read in the paper a while ago about a Sugar Beet Museum being opened somewhere in Manitoba but I can't find the info now.
